I have read through all the responses so far, and have a comment about the deployment of Notes Client. Use use LN extensively where I work and are goin to convert to LN Mail from GroupWise 4.1 which is a 16-bit system.

Our initial deployment to users was ID by ID. Each user has their own ID on their own workstation or personal network directory. Our LN Admins discussed a way of bringing all this authentication back to the LN Server level. Unfortunately, the one Admin who knew how to implement this left for another job. I am hoping we will accomplish this since I know it is now possible. This will eliminate the problem of users bouncing between computers.

The next big plus side to this is the user can install the client at home and reach the server via their ISP. Of course they have to have their ID file on their home computer at this point.

I also like the feature of the e-mail being downloaded to the client machine instead of remaining on the server. GroupWise leaves all this on the servers, and you know how users are -- most of them are pack-rats and never delete anything. So the server drive space bloats until we run a *Janitor* program that will delete old mail, and files over certain sizes.
