Hmmm, something I had not thought of. The fastest machines currently running this old FPwin 2.5 machine are Pentium 200's, and these new machines are 233's.

I have heard it explained that the event model of some Win apps can cause this. Even though they are not multi-threaded, it is possible for execution sequences to become confused due to the way events are processed. Alas, as my last experiences with machine language were on the Z80, I wouldn't know where to begin.
