You can use MSWord or any other editor to write the RTF files (these are the source files for your help) and use the help compiler that comes with VFP to compile them into a hlp file. This method works fine for small helps but it's pretty difficult to use for large helps. It's like programming in assembler versus a high level language. Anyway, the help compiler's help explains how to write your rtf files (how to put links, indexes, etc).

You can also build html helps using an html editor and MS' html help compiler. This is easier than the other one, but, as far as I remember is more difficult to integrate into your application. The big advantage is that, eventually, you can put all the docs on intranet/internet very easely.
