Hi Gang...

Well, here is my turn to ask a question... < bg >

I am supporting a VFP 3.0b application. My development platform is WinNT 4.0 Workstation, SP 3. The target platform for one of the folks that use the system is a laptop running Windows 98.

On my system, running either in Development mode as as a stand-alone executeable, the application runs fine with zero problems.

On the laptop running Windows 98, and error arises when a form displays that states a table is not marked as being part of the database. The dialog further asks if I wish to create the back link. Because the table is not open for exclusive use, this will fail. However, the issue I have is why the dialog is appearing.

Keep in mind, everything, and I mean everything, is the same. The EXE, the CONFIG.FPW, the data, everything with the exception of the OS is the same. The laptop is not hooked up to the network, and neither is my laptop when we test things. I can successfully run the app, and via PC-Anywhere, copy the data to the cleint's laptop, attempt to run the app, and bammo, when I attempt to run the form, the error arises.

I am aware of a knowledge base article that discusses the affect of CLEAR ALL and programatic data-environments. As near as I can tell, that is not the issue. If it were, I would expect to get the same error.

Anyway, I am getting stumpped on this one.

Any and all help is appreciated....
