I think it's actually a bug; ORDER BY is supposed to accept a numeric expression. 3-2 works. eval("3-2") doesn't. Both are numeric expressions as I understand them, but maybe not as they do. Anyway, I put it through as a bug report; but of course one never hears the results of these submissions.
