I have found Doug Hennig's 'Using Visual Foxpro's Active X Controls' to be a reasonable help, though it may not be as deep as you want. I found it somewhere on the web but can't remember exactly where. I can email you the zip with samples if you want. Also, though this may be sacreligious, I have managed to glean a lot of useful information from the VB help files. With some adjustment and extrapolation they are a good source if you have VB5 or 6.

The latest ocx version that I have is version 6 which shipped with Visual Studio 97 in the MSComCtl.ocx. There may be something newer now, but I'm happy with the 6.0.
