I went back to MM version 4.0b and ALL of these problems went away!! Apparently, version 4.1 is looking for something that was not required for 4.0b. I suspect that it has something to do with MetaDBC.DBF. I did nothing with this file prior to upgrading to 4.1.

Any suggestions?????
