>>I tried going through the setup wizard. It appears the setup wizard makes a slew of changes to the NT registry and copies numerous support files to the local disk. Well this is not cool when all my users are restricted from doing this. (Having this restriction is why I chose NT in the first place!) When I did install it on a work station it ran fine from the local copy as administrator and as enduser - but I need it to run fine from the network. Is there a way I can just do the VFP6 runtime installation for the end users? And then be able to deal with exe's on the network like I used to in 2.6?

I've made setups which place a PM item for the app. The created PM item points to the app the setup places on the local hard drive. I run the install on each workstation (logged in as administrator) which will use the app, to get the necessary registry changes and runtime files installed. Then I delete the directory with the app which I just installed on the local hard drive, and change the PM item to point to the network app.

I got it! But there were some odd things so I wanted to let you all know what ultimately worked for me:
Created a text document containing one word: text in it's own directory
Created project with just this text file.
Built an EXE.
Downloaded the lasted VFP patch on setup wizard.
Ran the setup wizard.
Ran the resulting setup executable on a workstation.
Tried to run an exe in the apps directory.
At this point I was still getting "Resources not found message".
REMOVED from the Apps directory the VFP6r.dll; vfp6renu.dll; and any/all of the other files. (The Apps directory contains all the exe's for the system.)
It worked!!
So far I have only installed this on 4 work stations (All NT4.0) and each one is able to run ANY VFP executable regardless of where it is located, what it is called. Also, when I change the exe - no effect - it still runs. I have 71 more machines to install the setup program on and still need to test on Win95/98, but I'm very relieved!
Thanks for your help and hope this can be of future use.
Susan
