Title:
Printing to a Xerox Splash printer
Giving your print jobs a nice name seems to be a bit troublesome in VFP.
If you print a report (Report form XXX to printer) you see the print job name "Visual FoxPro" in your print monitor. However, this name can be changed to anything you like e.g. via the "chgname.fll" on the UT archive.
Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem if you print to a Xerox Splash printer. On the RIP (printer server), you'll again see the name "Visual FoxPro", because only the postscript file is transferred, not the print job name (I'm guessing here), and if you inspect the postscript file, you see the following header
%!PS-Adobe-3.0
%%Title: Visual FoxPro
%%Creator: Windows NT 4.0
...
Does anybody know how to change that Title field (most other programs seem to handle that)?
Also, I figured out that you can print multiple copies per print job by modifying the "COPIES" attribute in the "Expr" field of the report. I cannot find this feature documented anyware. Am I doing naugthy things here?
Thank you
