>Thanks for your so detail answers. I tried my best to locate the HDD Serial no session from Universal Thread previous sessions but perhaps I didn’t have option to search. I will be grateful if you will kindly give answer of my question.

I'm afraid I don't have the answer to HDD Serial No. Ed Rauh(sp?) probably does, so will some others. I hope someone else will see this message and reply to it.

>1) This question is relating to setup wizard. How can I get the directory name in which my program is installed?

If I understand your question, I think this is what you want. In the page of the setup wizard where you're specifying PM Items, in the Command Line textbox, you can place "%s\yourapp.exe". This tells the setup wizard to make the command line < install dir >\yourapp.exe, in other words, %s is a placeholder where your setup program will fill in the directory the user chose to install your exe in.

>2) How can I create & copy a .LNK file in Windows directories like Start Menu or Desktop programmatically?

I would think FoxPro's COPY FILE command would work, but others may jump in here with better answers. Are you asking how to find the full path of the windows directories involved? That's probably another question for Ed Rauh, a real guru about operating system questions and API calls.
