Bob,
Deleting the resource file means deleting FoxUser.dbf (the default resource file). VFP will create a new one when re-started. This file only contains developer preferences: window size/position/font, etc... and won't hurt any projects. I've heard that that can solves some problems, as well (one of those 'doesn't hurt to try' ideas).
