Well, as if you needed me to say this, there's something else about the second page which is changing the page number back to one.

Is there definitely only the one group defined? Could there be another group which is breaking between page 1 and 2, resetting the page number?

Do you have a Title Band, and does it have [ ] New Page checked?

Is there any chance there's a UDF somewhere on the report which changes _PAGENO?

Have you defined any report variables which make use of _PAGENO, and possibly change it?

That's all my ideas.
