Hi Larry,
Have you tried SET STATUS BAR ON, so that the message goes there instead? (SET STATUS BAR OFF afterwards).
Or you could ACTIVATE SCREEN just before the SELECT so that it doesn't print to your form. I think you can even define a window, without activating it, and SET TALK TO that window - it should never be seen.
