If you are changing the ORDER of the secondary (child) table, that is linked (related) to the primary (parent) table, then yes, you are breaking the link (relation) to that table. In this situation, you can only change the ORDER of the parent table. If you SELECT the fields from both tables into a single cursor, you can order by any field, then.

I would like to be able for the user to click on the header and sort any field. When I put set order to field1, thisform.refresh, the grid goes blank. I believe maybe when I change the order, it breaks the link, how would do I sort the field?
