I thought "just set the property with Horizontal/Vertical options in it! They must have one, hell, you had @*H or @*V in FoxBase!" But no, there's no such property. I can't believe it.

What I did discover, while looking around in the form designer trying to figure it out, is that you could size the group container properly, select Button2 in the group and set it's Top and Left properties so that it appears to the right of Button1 in the group. Then of course you'd have to do the same with all the other buttons in the group.
