>I'm going to stick to the ActiveX part. Is VFP ActiveX compliant or not. I'm not a Byte head so I can't say whats under the hood. But I've seen and heard a lot of DEV-COM speaker's and people here saying that it is. The problem they say is that the control does not meet the standard. The point I was trying to make is if the above statement is true and if MS decides if you can call it ACTIVEX and sell it to people--- THEN WHY CAN"T THEY MAKE THE PRODUCER MAKE IT WORK WITH VFP.

Jeff, settle down you'll live longer.:-) In some cases they will (I've never had a problem with the Common Dialogs, and the new MS Toolbar 6.0 has been easy to work with), and in others, like the Coolbar they won't because of VFP itself, not because of a problem with the control. If it's any comfort, from what I understand, Problem...errr, make that PowerBuilder, doesn't always play too well with them either. In a perfect world...well, you know the rest. Maybe some enterprising soul will build create some controls using VFP as the test platform and target. Who knows? For me, I'm learning C++ so if there's something I've got to have that I can't get through normal means, perhaps I'll be able to create it there either as a DLL or ActiveX control.

>Of course I understand that you have complete control over this and that is why I'm shouting at you. I feel much better now.... Thanks

Did I get promoted when I wasn't looking?:-) Geez, I'll have to pay more attention. Glad you feel better.
