You are correct that just because VFP6 is compliant doesn't mean that applications written with VFP are compliant. Take a look at the help for SET STRICTDATE. Setting STRICTDATE can help you find potential Y2K problems. You'll also need to make sure that all of your dates are stored in date fields and not as characters or numbers.
