>You know what else was surprising about my test? The Activate event
never fired! (Again, yes, I triple checked that I have WAIT WINDOW "Form.Activate" in the Form's Activate event.) Now how can that be? Because I didn't do a read events? But the form and the button on it were active (in a wait state) at one point!

Believe me, once you get beyond testing and use forms *for real*, the activate fires and fires and fires and fires... It can get very infuriating when trying to use the debugger to figure out a problem with code in the Activate method. Every time you go from the debugger window back the form, activate fires and you get the same error that sends you back to the debugger. You get bounced around like a tennis ball.
