Hi David,

I believe that the real problem is that it already has been addressed and what is happening *is* the solution!

People in the industry far more powerful than the VFP Team or even MS have settled on a 'standard' which, paraphrased, says:

To avoid any possible chance of ambiguity the century shall be shown when the century is later than 19.

Actually, it could be somewhat different than that (I'm sure it is) but that is what's relevant to the issue at hand.

I know it gets in the way. I'm sure "they" knew it too, and I would guess that "they" made a concession in agreeing that 19 need not be shown.

So, while it truly is a drag, the optimum choice is to acknowledge it and live with it, accommodating 4 years centuries everywhere.
