Reg,
I understand you weren't trying to be critical. My apologies for implying that you were. I suppose, if anything, I was pointing out the problem with having such a wide choice to choose from but not being able to cary out a 'proper' comparison between the packages without buying the lot. It applies to any application where there is a wealth of choice and good choice at that.

>Sorry, I wasn't trying to be critical about all or most of us only being able to promote a particular package, I understand the problems of testing them all--I certainly am not going to go through the learning process all over again unless I have to. My question was based on my not knowing most of the people contributing to this discussion, and so not knowing whether any of us is speaking from a position of having tested more than one or two. I am perfectly happy to listen to others extoll the virtues of their favourites so long as I recognize where, like myself, they probably have found one they love above all others in the first of second try.

>In fact, as you suggest, the more we hear about how many if us have come to love, hate or depend on our frameworks, the better those who are unhappy with theirs will be able to choose a new one.
