Hi Erik!
Thank you so much for your response to my formatting question. You have anwered questions of mine before on this thread and they are always so thorough, which is especially nice for me b/c I am trying to build my first application!

To refresh your memory, I asked how to have my field cDISCOUNT format to a percent field, so that a user can only enter a number between 0 and 1. I originally had it set up to appear, for instance, as .14 and I wanted it to appear as 14% in my table. You gave me instruction to enter "999%" into the input mask field and that worked out great. You also instructed me to set my data type to CHARACTER, which I did.

In addition, you gave me code to enter into a valid and refresh method. I assume that is once I get to creating forms. I am still trying to make sure my data is squared away before I jump into the GUI. I just want to confirm that is correct......... that I take care of that when I get to forms???, because i couldn't find anything called valid or refresh in my table designer.

I have an unrelated question I would like to ask as well.

When do I use the compile button? Is that something I have to do along the journey, or once I get to the completion of my application? If you have any advice on that I would sure appreciate it!

Thanks again Erik
