What error code, is associcated with"

LOCATED DATABASE
Error instantiating cursor object. Cannot find ...path...xxx.dbc

It occurs when the path to a database is not valid. I need to trap this error but by ON ERROR routine is not even seeing it. Users can guess at what it means but I would prefer to put in my own MESSAGEBOX code that tells them to reboot their machines or check there network connections or ...
