VFP ships with MSComm32.Ocx. It is royalty free & should work well with Comm ports -- it is included with the Professional edition of VFP.

Silverware makes a very dependable Comm library for your Fox 2.x needs. I highly reccommend the. I believe they advertise in Fox Advisor.
