Why not just use MODI FILE inputasciifilename.. has always been one of the best EDITORS available (pls not arguments! its just my opinion!) and we all know what dinosaurs' opinions are worth these days.... ;^)

obtw; check setting of Preferences under Edit pulldown to eliminate such annoying things as line wrap, autoindent, etc, etc...
