The MTS issue with VFP is short term, it will be fixed. VFP as a backend COM object on web based apps works failry well. I can't speak for John, but in my mind VFP is NOT being tranmorgrified into a middle ware tool, it is just well suited for middle ware development due to many of its features. It is, and will remain, a very good tool for monolithic or two tier solutions as well as being a good tool for building middle ware components.
