Thanx, I DL your code and I think I understand it (I am not an expert user of CLASS').

For the suggested solution to work I THINK I would need to add code to each form/report. I am looking for code to catch PATH problems that can sit in my error handler without having to recode numerous screens.

I am amazed that there is no setting to turn on the PROMPT type option that appears by default and I am further surprised that none of the ERROR CODEs relate to such path problems. VFP does not appear to consider path problems, to be errors.
