I ran into this error once. It turned out to be a NIC card. Try copying a large amount of data to and from the machine the is giveing you the problem. I found that when doing this thru windows, windows would report an error that the network drive isn't accessable in the middle of the copy. Changing the card solved the problem. Hope this helps
