You've received from excellent advise from our panelists of experts (thanks guys)!

The primary reason for establishing parent/child relationships is to allow cascading operations from parent to child (as listed on the "Parent/Child Settings" tab of the Business Object Builder).

Based on this, since the two business objects you mentioned do not reside on the same form, there's no need to establish a parent/child relationship.

As mentioned in other messages, if you need access to the parent business object on another form, you *can* pass a reference to the parent object to the form.
