>I have a logical field that displays nicely as a check box on a form. This form is for viewing only, no editing, so I marked the control enabled=.F. I would like the color of the box to look as it does when enabled for easier reading, but when I change the disabled forecolor to black, it does not apear very clear and the box itself remains gray. I know I can get rid of the caption and use a label for the text, but is there any other way to do this and to get the check box itself to look the way it does when enabled?

How will the use know that the field is disabled? There is a reason that the color changes when disabled. In other words, you are getting the proper Windows behavior.
