In that case, start by backing up your registry; there are tools in Win9x and WinNT to do just that, and if you really hurt yourself, having a backup available makes recovery much easier. If nothing else, you can export selected registry keys using REGEDIT to make a .REG file that you can reapply; utilties like NT's RDISK, or the optional ERD in Win95/Win98 make recovery much, much easier.
