The scanner is decoding the bars into ASCII which is treated as character input as though you had typed something from the keyboard. I think you probably have that part mastered. :) As far as *output* from the microcomputer, there are many software vendors out there who offer all sorts pf DLLs and OCXs and barcode TrueType fonts.
