Thanks for all the responses. I did search MSKB, I did read the error 1709 thread, but neither scenario matched what I was doing. However, after re-reading both the 3 MSKB articles and the 1709 thread, a common word cropped up: RETRY. I checked my error logging and found that earlier in the program some 1707 ( missing CDX ) messages were being RETRY'ed. I added a call to my hacker code for fixing DBF headers prior to USE'ing those DBF's and no more problem. Just in case you ask why the program was getting 1707's in the first place -- the files are from a 3rd party vendor catalog of parts that needed to be processed. Thus, although I was not working in VFP 3, and was not using a DBC with a VIEW, the files both contained a key word: RETRY, and following that lead, I checked to see if the program was RETRY'ing any error conditions and since it was, I fixed those errors and no more 'Mismatched Pushjmp/Popjmp calls'.
Does MS monitor this forum, or is there some way of reporting what appears to be a VFP bug without using up my own problem calls?
