>Is there anyway to make Visual Foxpro support the mdx format from dbase. I am writing a program that is linking to an existing table that has an mdx format. I need my program to be able to use the mdx so that everything stays in sync. I haven't been able to find a way to do this. It looks to me like I am stuck with reindexing the table from the DBASE program everytime I add something from the Foxpro program. If anyone knows a better way, please advise. Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried this, but your best bet might be to use an ODBC connection to the dBASE IV/5 files. Going through ODBC means that the file would get handled by the ODBC driver, which works with dBASE file and .MDX directly, so that the changes stay synced to the dBASE .MDX file. You'd give up some performance and ease of access in the process, though.
