Use the form of barcode reader that emulates a keyboard called a keyboard wedge. It connects in series with you keyboard and operates as if you were typing in the barcoded characters. Most BC readers can be programmed to send a CR-LF as the suffix to the current read. VFP will accept this input into a textbox or other input control.
