Hmmmm ... that could be it too, I suppose. The ControlSource of the column was the Name field of the child table (so that it would display in the column's Test field). The ControlSource of the cbo was the Name_ID field of the parent table ... they both reference the same record, but maybe it doesn't work that way.

So, was I doing the grid right or not? Can I use related tables for different columns? This grid stuff is way more complicated than the Browse used to be!!!!
