Oh, well, if you're going to insist on an answer to the question you asked! < bg >...I don't see any tricks, if by that you mean an automatically triggered ON DELETE record event.
But don't you have a (ahem) business rule for deleting records? Could you not put the timestamp in there once the record has been successfully deleted? Or, I guess you mean you want the timestamp to be the moment that record was written as deleted and not stamped when the buffered record is deleted?
And...lastly, why am I asking you this when I'm sure you've thought of it and more already??? :-)
