I know that I used the "half-baked" to describe the MS philosophy of one IDE and choice of languages as it hasn't materialized yet; for example, VJ++ 1.0 and VC++ 5.0 shared the same IDE, but now VJ++ 6.0 more resembles VB but is still a unique IDE...

VFP kind of picked me with my job offer and I've been learning both languages for the last two years. I focus on VFP, but I still dabble in VB.

Actually, since I'm interested in getting my MCSD I needed to pass 4 tests and at the time (and this is still true I think) there was no VFP test to take.

At this point, I don't feel that I've mastered either language, although, I'm not convinced that I couldn't if that's what I decide to do. Right now, I spend more time supervising, recruiting, etc... then programming. I may not master either the way things are going.

Your response falls into the camp that more is better. Have you seen the "build a house" portion of this thread? The jury is still out there.

Thanks
