I finally found the problem with my MAPI connection, and I feel a bit silly about it.

I have a MAPIsession.SignOff() placed in the Deactivate of my form I have been had the Trace window active all the time . Being signed off I could still get a hold of all the info apart from the attachment and therfore didn't realize this until now.
