And I should do the same, my base combo box subclass leaves it at zero. I often use the builder when working with combo boxes, which of course sets the Column Count automatically. This time I just pulled it in from the form controls toolbar; after all, it was "just a simple little ol' combo box in a grid column". Slap together an AddItem() method and go for it. I guess the downside to using builders is they tend to make us take things for granted. Thanks again for your insight.
