I had the same problem and I did pretty much the same stuff you did (un-install and re-install a gazillion times) and finally gave up on it. I still have VFP 5.0 loaded on my system, so I went and pointed the help file to 5.0's help and I now at least have help, even tho it's not going to cover stuff new to 6.0, at least it's better than no help at all!!
