So, Craig, you open the tables first in main.prg and then use the DE in your forms? The main reason that I wasn't using the DE is because of pathing problems (I think it's awful dumb to have paths hard-coded anywhere and this appears to be what happens when you use the DE .... correct me if I'm wrong please). I've simply come up with form-based methods for opening tables in the LOAD of the form. Don't know whether or not that's the right approach, but it works for me.
