I found that the previously reported dropdownlist problems as described below only occur when there is a timer object active. As a work-around, I was able to disable and re-enable the timer used in my application on the dropdownlist style combobox got/lost-focus.

>1. Selecting an item from a dropdown list with the mouse, "breaks" the control so that subsequent attempts to select items with the keyboard or mouse are unreliable. However, clicking on the down arrow fixes the problem -- at least for keyboard use. If you operate the dropdown lists with only the keyboard, there are no problems.

>2. If you click on an item on the dropdown list, the mouse (down or up?) event is received not only by the dropdown list, but also by any object that was underneath the dropdown list at the same position as the mouse pointer!
