I can't give too much details since it is copyrighted work
But basically you have several controls in the grid used as the tree which are changed by the DynamicCurrentControl (according to the state of the node)
the indentation was done based on the level of the node and the relevant infomation was done using filters
btw, we used to call this component a Trid :)
