I usually avoid these threads as well. Up till this event, I viewed all the rumors as rediculous, and not even worthy of response. This lightening bolt, however, hit a little closer to home than I was expecting. I did not ask the client about his source because I didn't want to move the conversation into an adversarial mode. My suspicion was that he had a friend in Word Tech support or some other department unrelated to developer products who was passing out advise on subjects about which he had no knowledge. Who knows what motivates people to say what they do? I just know that if (for some strange reason) VFP went by the way-side, there would be absolutiely nothing out there to take its place in the RAD department. Thanks once again to all who addressed this issue for me. As always, the UT citizens are nothing but helpful.
