Whoops --- OK...didn't digest the entire post.....

Still would send the date in the new format and manipulate it by doing a SUBSTR() on DTOS() of the date and rebuild a new date by using string manipulation to create a string in the proper format and then use EVALUATE() to translate in back to date.
