Lets say that the record pointer of the grid is pointing to the first row of the grid, column1 has focus. Now I INSERT a row into the table (which is the recordsource), and it is now the second row of the grid. The record pointer now points to the new row.

Should column1.valid (using the values from the first row) fire after the INSERT, will it only fire after the grid is refreshed, or does an INSERT not cause it to fire?
