Can you put the code to seek the assetsub in your save button, and then, if everything is alright issue a DODEFAULT()? Though, it probably makes more sense from the user's standpoint to not let them get all the way to saving the record before telling them they've entered bad data (if, indeed, that is what's happening).

BTW, the code for the wizard generated forms is in the WIZSTYLE.VCX in your vfp/wizards directory.
