Yes, I have hooks, and the lateset version of 5, and Norton Anti-virus. Listed exclusion for a bunch of Fox and SourceSafe file types, but it hasn't seemed to help much. Sometimes, the sourcesafe DLL gets misplaced (when my app badly crashed), and then the project loads very fast! I guess it is clear, that sourcesafe is the culprit. Anyideas on how to make that go faster? Thanks.

>Just a though there...do you have any SourceSafe hooks into the VFP project? This may be the cause of the time lag. I believe someone else mentioned this, and I never really gave it a thought. It can, indeed, have an impact. Also, what version of VFP are you using? Ensure you have the latest service patch, just in case.
