I've come up with some bizarro foxpro things in the past that i couldn't solve either. I get more of them if I install c++ along with visual foxpro.
You might want to try, I know it's painfull, getting rid of windows98 and re-installing it to a clean directory. you probably have some dll somewhere that got hammered and foxpro is having a hickup.
