I have already done what you suggested about loading the top level first and only load the rest when a node is clicked. It all works but loading the top level is slow. Loading the treeview seems to slow exponentially as nodes are added. It can take 45 seconds or so on P133 to load 3000 customers. Most of my customers do not have Pentium IIs etc. So it is not useable to wait that long. Is too bad that the control is not a data aware.

I know there are some ActiveX ADO type treeview controls. I just have not learned how ADO works with Foxpro tables.
